Abstract: The main aim “BUDHANILKANTA AYURVEDIC CHIKITSHALAYA” is envisaged to create a functional and spatial relationship between interrelated departments in Ayurveda Hospital. The hospital will produce well trained manpower in health sector. Health quality of health care can be achieved only if the hospital is efficient, functional and economical, A minor defect in design can hamper efficient operation of the hospital resulting in operational difficulty of the staff gradually leading to compromise proper health care to the patient. Quality of care provided to the patient depends on the effective planning of the hospital premises and issues like the capital cost of the building become secondary to the cost of running and maintenance. Talking about present scenario of ayurvedic hospital in Nepal, there is only one 100 bed and one 50 bed hospital which is insufficient as more than 70% of population relies in traditional medical services. The services provided from that hospital to the entire patient seems to be unhygienic. Site for the project is proposed at Rudershwor, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu which is live site of ayurvedic hospital. The hospital is not providing the sufficient facilities to the patients of budhanilkantha as it only provides opd and yoga facilities. So, the people demand for the Ayurvedic Hospital within the district, which can serve better than the previous one. The effort has been made in this thesis project is to create the healing environment. Through this project I want to uplift the Traditional medicine treatment and also an attempt to design the therapeutic part in Ayurvedic Hospital and to incorporate basic theory of landscape in healing the disease and disorder.
