Abstract: Floriculture Promotion Centre is dedicated to the promotion of the locally grown flowers and research of the flowers. Flowers have great importance in human’s life. Flowers are used for many purpose such as offering flowers to deity, decoration, gifting purpose and also have medicinal values. But nowadays foreign flowers and exported ones are dominating the market which is decreasing the value of locally grown flowers. This project includes various elements such as laboratories, exhibition area, green house, hydroponics, library which helps in conducting different research programme and also help to promote the flowers. Similarly, the landscape part comprises of various plants and flowers such as culturally valued flowers, endangered species. This project will help in study of plants/flowers along with its conservation and protection. Nepal is rich in plant bio diversity but there are lots of plant species which needs to be identified and studied. So, with this fact "Floriculture Promotion Centre" would ease in identification, conservation, research, documentation of such botanical species of Nepal.
