Abstract: Transportation plays a crucial role in uplifting both the society and economy of a place, making it an integral part of any society. Among the various modes of transport, road transport is widely used in Nepal due to its general topography and the economic conditions of the people. Recognizing its significance, the Government of Nepal has placed a high priority on road development, dedicating substantial resources to road construction and maintenance. The objective of this project is to design and construct a roadway from Ratna Mod to Puwar Gaun road., along with providing an estimated cost for the project. The work involved conducting a topographic survey of the existing section using the open traverse method. A contour map of the area was generated using DTM software, and the subsequent design was carried out using SW Roads software. The pavement design was conducted using the CBR test and the Design Catalogue method, with reference to NRS 2070 and DOR norms. This report is an outcome of hard work and perseverance. Any opinions, suggestions or criticism for the project would be fruitful.
