Abstract: | About 67% of Nepal's population is involved in agriculture, according to the 2021/22 National Sample Census of Agriculture. This includes 62% of households, which shows that the number of people involved in agriculture is degrading. Looking at these problems we focus on building a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) based farming system which is ideal for farming and research purpose in small personal spaces which minimize the human labor, help in precise farming and can be manually controlled. By using CNC technology, it allows the machine to follow the coordinate points that are entered into the system accurately. The command to drive a CNC machine is usually called the G-Code . So, CNC acts as our main component for this project or simply CNC is our main tool for building a farming system. This project is centered on automating and manual agricultural tasks like planting, watering, and monitoring environmental parameters using sensors like DHT11 for monitoring the temperature and humidity and LDR for monitoring the light intensity of the farm�s surrounding, soil moisture sensor for controlled and automated irrigation for the plant growth through the use of CNC technology. We decided to cultivate Bok choy, a plant with shallow roots, as it demands careful spacing and precise attention to thrive. By merging CNC technology with these sensors, our project aspires to develop a sustainable, efficient, and user-friendly farming solution fitted for urban environments. |
