Integrated Sports Complex

Abstract

This thesis explores the design of an integrated sports complex that caters to the growing need for inclusive, multifunctional, and community-oriented athletic spaces. The project focuses primarily on indoor sports while integrating complementary outdoor areas to support a holistic sports environment. Through a comprehensive study of site conditions, user needs, climatic considerations, and relevant case studies, the design aims to create a sustainable, accessible, and flexible complex that accommodates diverse users from professional athletes to the local community. The complex is envisioned not only as a venue for physical activity but also as a social and recreational hub that promotes wellness, interaction, and urban vitality. Emphasis is placed on circulation efficiency, zoning of spaces, natural lighting, and ventilation strategies, ensuring functionality alongside architectural expression. This thesis ultimately aims to contribute a thoughtful and context-responsive design that supports physical, social, and environmental well-being
